Franklin Rae supported with raising the profile of NextUp, the world’s only stand-up comedy SVOD service to help it secure additional funding in order to meet expand its offering of original content and build its subscription numbers.
Since launch, NextUp has achieved its subscriber targets receiving 5-star average ratings across Android and iOS stores and is available worldwide via web browsers and mobile apps. The service is also distributed on Amazon Channels in the UK, and US, and selected stand-up specials have been featured on Virgin Atlantic’s in-flight entertainment offering.
The focus of the PR activity was around securing coverage in key trade press to position NextUP as a worthwhile investment and viable business in the SVoD industry. To this end Franklin Rae worked closely with its media contacts to place news on the opening of new rounds of funding.
Coverage was secured in domestic and international trade press, including Deadline Hollywood, Worldscreen, TBI and Rapid TV News. Results of its investment round include overfunding at 111% via the online equity investing platform SyndicateRoom.
